2004

The FTL steering systems GmbH has been founded in 2004 as a project company and presented itself in its first year as an engineering partner company of a wellknown manufacturer of hydraulic power steering systems at the IAA Commercial Vehicles Show in Hanover.

In the years 2005 to 2007, the company expanded the number of customers and project partners in Germany as well as Western Europe.

Expansion of development capacity by increasing the number of our co-workers.

Implementation of quality management according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008. Reinforcement of the team in the field of quality management and administration.

Relocation of FTL: move to the LiM Center.

Expansion of markets in Asia by ivolvement in new vehicle projects.

Implementation of several projects in Asia and Europe.

Begin of an engineering and production project for russian automotive industry.

Initial implementation of steer-by-wire systems in a western european application.

Design activities in up to date steering gear boxes with lane-keeping-assistance systems.

FTL steering systems develops and configures the user-specific security-related steering system components for commercial and special vehicles with its own manufacturing and production in collaboration with renowned Western European component manufacturers.
